Choc Bliss

Brief Description

This breakfast will be super food for you! It is jam packed full of nutrients. We have the oats helping providing some B Vitamins which are important for our central nervous system  as way as our metabolism. The fiber in the oats is also helps lower cholesterol and keep us regular.

We have all the nuts and seed providing our healthy fats that improves our good cholesterol levels, reducing risk of heat disease. Plus they are full of magnesium which is needed for healthy muscle contraction and mental wellbeing (amongst many more aspects in the body). Cacao nibs are an excellent booster also providing magnesium but iron too and small amounts of caffeine along with the cocoa powder so this will give you a great boost in the morning!

The coconut will keep you full for ages and adds a nice little sweetness to the bitter- sweet relationship going on with the cacao nibs. If you find this is tad bitter- ease up the cacao nibs.

If you want to go completely sugar free you may not need the rice syrup (which is a low sugar alternative) or you can use Natvia or stevia based sweetener for sweetness without calories.

Pre heat oven to 140 degrees. Line a flat baking tray with baking paper.

In a large mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients

In a small pot on low temperature add the coconut oil and rice syrup or Natvia and melt together.

Add this to the dry ingredients and mix and coat well.

Spread this evenly on the baking tray.

Bake in middle of oven for around 25mins, stirring occasionally. Test by tasting one of the nuts to see if they are crunchy.

Switch off oven and leave the oven door slightly ajar and leave to cool. They should turn really crunchy. Keep in a container once cooled. About a 1/4 of a cup is one serving. Serve with dollop of Greek or coconut yoghurt.
